The Hunger and Health Coalition's 23rd Annual Thanksgiving Day Feast
Each Thanksgiving, the community comes together to serve and share on Thanksgiving Day at the First Baptist Church Dining Hall.
First Baptist is located on the corner of King and College streets in downtown Boone next to the campus of Appalachian State University.
The date this year is Thursday, November 27th, and everyone's invited!
According to Executive Director Compton Fortuna, the annual event is something looked forward to all year long. “The Annual Thanksgiving Dinner is a favorite among staff and volunteers. This is a time of year when we are all remembering the many things we have to be thankful for, and the community dinner is a special holiday tradition that gives us the opportunity to give back and make a difference. Volunteering at the dinner has become as much a part of our own holiday tradition as turkey and pumpkin pie.”

From 11:00AM to 2:00PM, there will Turkey with all the trimmings. Takeout meals and home deliveries will be available.

To help make this happen we need your help!
Volunteers are needed to help prepare, serve and clean up.
Musicians are invited to share their talents at the dinner as well.
Any donations of food or money will go a long way towards helping to make this event a big success!
