Spotlight 
This month, the spotlight is on Teddy Watson! Teddy is a native to Boone. He's lived here all 49 years of his life. Teddy is starting his second year with us at the Hunger and Health Coalition. He's here, every day, hard at work in our food pantry. He does everything there is to do there, from sorting incoming food to handing out boxes of food to our voucher clients. The thing he enjoys most about being a volunteer here is the people he gets to meet, and giving back to his community. In his spare time, Teddy loves to fly kites, and for fun and exercise, he enjoys swimming in Wilksboro lake. He is blessed with three wonderful children, and loves to take them swimming and flying. It is volunteers like Teddy that help enable us to do the work we do. Without our volunteers, we could not do all we do, and we are very grateful for their work. The Hunger and Health Coalition has many volunteers who assist us in our mission to relieve poverty and hunger in a compassionate manner for families and individuals who are experiencing immediate, but temporary economic hardship and food shortages. We are grateful for every single one of our volunteers, and want to say "Thank you!" for a job well done.
