On Monday, July 23rd, 2007, the HHC was blessed with a visit from St. Timothy Lutheran Church of Naperville, Illinois' High School Trips!

12 high school youth, 2 counselors from Camp Lutherock in Newland, and 4 adults volunteered their services here. They traveled over 721 miles to get here, and together, they helped out wherever they were needed.

To quote one enthusiastic volunteer, "It was a great experience where we all enjoyed serving and helping as needed!"

We are truely grateful for their help! We wish them the very best in all they do, and thank each one for their service to our community.

The Hunger and Health Coalition has many volunteers who assist us in our mission to relieve poverty and hunger in a compassionate manner for families and individuals who are experiencing immediate, but temporary economic hardship and food shortages. We are grateful for every single one of our volunteers, and want to say "Thank you!" for a job well done.

For specific information on how you can become a volunteer, please contact Kim Winebarger.
